Secret Secrets Are No Fun; Secret Secrets Hurt Someone

I think that secrets are like weights that are strapped to your chest. They weigh you down and make it harder for you to do daily tasks. Every time you keep a secret, you add another weight to your chest. They keep building and building until they eventually start to crush you. You can try to ignore them, but you will always know that they are there. You can get used to the pain, and it can be easier for you to have these weights over time, but you will never get rid of them. That is unless you get it off your chest.

  1. I think that this is a good metaphor that could apply to a lot of things, but at the very least I’d agree that this is unhealthy for Liesel.

  2. A secret is not a lie. a secret is something personal and it does add weight on but it is not a lie. for a lie is a sin but a secret that is words that are never supposed to be spoken.

  3. I love your simile about weights. It is so true that they weigh you down and make it hard for you to do daily things.
