A Little Light in the Darkness

Whenever I feel the darkness start to cover me, I write. I already like to write stories in my free time, but I think that when I’m sad I feel more inspired. All of the dark feelings and or thoughts that are swirling throughout my chest and my brain can be thrown onto a blank white page. I can have a character go through the same thing that I go through, and by having them get through it in a story, I can get through it in mine. I really do think that the pen is mightier than the sword with the idea that it can slay monsters just as well, if not better. If you are feeling down I implore you to write. It doesn’t have to be a story, you can just write what you are feeling down, and I promise you will feel better. Writing is my little light in the darkness.

  1. I think that writing is a pretty good coping method and I bet it could actually help a lot of people if they weren’t so lazy and actually took the time to put things into words. It’s good that you’ve got it figured out.

  2. I actually think this is very correct, because when you write it’s an easy way to sometimes put your emotions onto paper or a screen. Even if what you are writing doesn’t connect to your feelings it can make you happier and it can take your mind off of what you were sad about at the time. You might even forget why you were sad.
