I read the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It is a science fiction/fantasy book. I would rate it a 10/10. This book has 498 pages
How it starts- It starts with the main character Bella moving from her moms house in Arizona to a cold and rainy town with her dad. They have not seen each other in a long time, so they are both feeling each other out.
How it gets complicated- Bella meets a “different” student at her school. She finds out more details about his family and him. eventually they get talking and she finds out more about him and who he is.
What I liked- I liked the suspense of the book. The way that the author writes is amazing to me. All of her words are super clear and they make me want to continue reading. I love every single one of the books and movies.
What I disliked- I didn’t really dislike anything. The only thing I wasn’t in love with was the longevity of the book. But once I got into the book and was super interested in the storyline the amount of pages was no issue.
Recommendation- I would recommend this book to anyone who has watched and enjoyed vampire diaries. I would also recommend this to anyone that loves supernatural types of movies/books. This series now has movies from them too, so thats great motivation to read all of the books! There are 4 books and 5 movies.

Quote- “you don’t realize how incredibly breakable you are”
context- They are talking about the dangers of the world and how when you get involved in one thing it can turn out very dangerously or can be an amazing experience.
This makes me think- This makes me think about how humans are “breakable” and yet we are so strong. We go through so many trials and hardships which makes us stronger, we can work out and gain strength, and yet with one car accident we could get severely damaged. I think that thats the largest part of life. The saying YOLO is so true. While we are here it is our time to take risks and value all of the gifts we have, like family and friends. I definitely think that things can be scary, but that is what makes it worth while.

Quote- But thats probably just because its you, ordinary people seem to make it through the day without so many catastrophes.
context- Edward has just picked up Bella from a bad situation. She asked him how he knew that she was there. That led into a conversation about how she is not normal.
This makes me think- This makes me think about how none of us are really “normal or ordinary” it just depends on the situations we are put in. I think that sometimes I go through my days and don’t worry about different things happening because I am so used to my everyday life and my routines. But when a routine is changed, like school is out or we go on vacations, there is much more thinking involved in each decision we make, so that we can stay safe.

Quote- My throat suddenly felt tight. I wasn’t used to being taken care of, and Charlies unspoken concern caught me by surprise.
Context- Her father Charlie who she hadn’t seen in years didn’t show any emotion towards her. she didn’t know if he was happy she was there or annoyed.
This makes me think- This makes me think about the good inside of people. At times we can make quick judgments and stick with them. This makes it hard to see who a person really is. Everyone is just going through their lives, sometimes we don’t show appreciation but I think that thats what makes us human. Now before I jump to quick judgements about people or how they act, I want to get to know them first and see who the real them is. Then I can have empathy for what they have gone through and I can understand their habits.
