What I Read: I read “Rangers Apprentice The early years The tournament At Gorlan” By John Flanagan, 364 pages
How it starts: It starts with two rangers Halt and Crowley on the run as fugitives from Morgarath’s troops. Learning Morgaraths plan to corrupt the ranger corps.
How it gets complicated: It gets complicated when Crowley and Halt find out Morgaraths plan to take the throne and corrupt the ranger corps. And the prince who everyone in the land loves randomly is raiding houses.
What I liked: One of my favorite things about this book is it sets the ground for the ranger apprentice series and it explains in more detail about Halt and Crowley’s life and friendship. I also liked how skilled the rangers are. I also like how it ties in with rangers apprentice.
What I disliked: I disliked John Flanagan didn’t come out with these two books before he came out with the rangers apprentice series and I also wish there were more than just two books in the series.
Recommendation: I would recommend this book to anyone that likes the brother band chronicles, and rangers apprentice series. I think the readers that would enjoy this book are people that like fantasy adventure books.
