Track Picture: This picture is important because track was her favorite sport that she played in high school and now that she lost her leg she can’t run anymore and it’s hard for her to cope with that because that also what all of her friends did.
Flower picture: These flowers are an important part of the book because in the beginning when she first found out that her leg was cut off and she was in the hospital there were a lot of flower and balloons in her room and this is a big deal because with how many flowers were in the room it lets me know that she was loved and she had a lot of people supporting her. It also helps with letting her know that she has support because now she can’t run and she has all this stuff to worry about.
Stair case picture: I chose this picture because she has a hard time with going up or down stairs and so when she gets released from the hospital and can go home when they pull up to the driveway she notices that her dad put ramp in that is right next to the staircase and so she doesn’t really know how to handle it. she is also really worried bout going back to school because she won’t be able to get to all of her classes on time with stairs.
and yes I do think that the author is doing a good job explaining everything but also moving a long with the story at a good pace. i think there are multiple ways that the story could end but there is one way that i think it will end and i’m pretty sure it will end that way. other than that the book is very engaging and i like it.
well my book is about a young girl that was involved in a car accident. and she ended up loosing her leg and she is a athlete that likes to run.
1. there is quite a bit of issues that the characters are going through right now. She is a runner and that is like her favorite sport and now she cant run anymore. there is financial anxiety because of all the things and procedures she has to go through. and emotionally because of the mom and all her friends and family
2. well she got in car crash with all of her friends and she lost her leg and one of her friends lost her life. so there were a lot of people that were involved in what happened. https://www.amputee-coalition.org/resources/prosthetic-limb-donations/. that is a website that you can donate to and it helps with people that have to get a prosthetic legs or arms. somethings that i have learned about the book so far is that anything can happen even when your not expecting git but whatever happens has happened so now you need to learn how to deal with it because you cant turn back time.
3. i think he did a goof job about just how hard it is that you go from a star runner to sitting in a hospital bed with only one leg. not only that but keeping it together and not loosing your mind an not being mad at the world. and that people truly care about you.
4. so far i like it but i have ever read a book that is like this they have always been action packed but i think i like this style better because it is intense and shows more about how the person is feeling and the emotion.
steelheart was actually a really good read even though i’m not a big reader. this book kept me entertained and paying attention. in the book superheros vs. humans. I think that the humans do play a big role in super hero books. i think the the humans make the book because it kind of gives a perspective of how a human would reacts and it would relate to us because we are humans. i loved how there was so much detail about it and with all that detail it really helped me understand the book a lot more because i could almost picture it in my head as it was happening so it made it easy to fall along. me and my group focused more on the rebellion side of things and there is actually a lot of things that have to do with rebellion in the book
i Did my book talk on firefight. its the second book in the reckoners series. After David kills steelheart he is left with a lot of questions and actually he is hurt pretty bad basically a hole in his heart. and nobody can help him with the questions that he has so then a new Reckoner “firefight” comes a long and David is going on a quest more dangerous than his fight against steelheart to get answers from firefight.
I am going to read the series The Darkest Minds. I chose this series because I feel like I need to try something new and give it a try amd maybe I will start to like different types of books other than just action. I was gonna finish steeheart but I wanted to start something that I have never read before. I have not read any of the books yet but I plan on not getting distracted as much when I read and trying to focus more on what’s happening in the book.
one that really caught my attention was he is able to escape from the real world and just read. that’s something that i am able to do is just escape for a bit and not have any stress and go into a whole different world.
books bring me comfort in times that are pretty tough. i will just read and it gets my mind off things that are happening in my life and it really helps put my mind at ease.
i love to read when it is snowing and we have a wood burning fireplace and that’s going and you can smell the wood burning. and a blanket on the couch and relaxing
about every Villain in a book or a movie has a reason that they are evil. since we are not really that far into the book I am going to make steelheart’s background. Some of the things that makes a villain who he is usually has to do with something that had happened in his past. I would like to think that he had parents that really loved him and they did everything as a family. They lived in a city where the government was very controlling and didn’t allow you to do very many things with outside. and if you were to break a rule than you were punished. and there was one day where they had broken a law and the government came and took the parents away from steelheart. So since that had happened when he grew up he wanted to have his own city that was made out of steel and everyone that was in or involved in the government had to pay for what they would do to family’s and he would punish them.
He wanted to start his own city because then he would be the ruler of that city and he would make the laws so anything that he did was legal and he wouldn’t get in trouble for it. the only problem he would have is that how would he get the people that are involved in the government to either come to his city or he would have to go and get them. But he knew that going to get them was risky because that’s a way that he would get caught of people saw him. so he had to think what he could do that would get people to come to his city and that was money. His parents were very very wealthy people and he got all the inheritance so he would offer them a job at his city that was fake and they would accept and that way he would get the people that were in the government to come to his city
But then what would steelheart do to the people that he would take and punish. after he would offer them a job that payed very well and they would come to his city. He would actually have a job for them to do so it seemed legit and he would get to know these people and get a better understanding of who he was dealing with and things that they didn’t like so he knew how to punish them. after that then he would actually punish them with whatever their biggest fears were.
But what would he do with the people after he was done punishing them. well since his city was made out of steel he would actually tie them with steel string and and have heavy steel bars that he would tie to their feet if he happened to kill them he would do that and sink them to the bottom t=if the ocean.
Hello, My name is Daxton Brown and I am a senior. I am not a big fan of reading books but I have read a couple. I first learned to read in the 3rd grade at my elementary school. some of my favorite books that I like to read are something very action-packed and entertaining like the Micheal Vey books. my favorite place to read is in my room by myself or sit next to the fire. I only like to read one book at a time because then I know exactly what’s going on.
