A Little Light in the Darkness: Spoilers for the ending of the book thief

It is true, the Book Thief is very sad and swears a lot. But there are soooooo many lessons and emotions throughout the story. The time we spend with leisel we see so many of the characters change and evolve. We see how much the characters love one another and care for each other. The characters grow so much throughout the book and all have there own small adventures. Markus Zusak is such a creative author to be able to take such a sad place in human history and spin a tale of amazing love, compassion, friendship, promise-keeping, and selflessness. The sad truth is that the best characters are born to die and the stories of them live on. Liesel is one of the few characters to survive the ending of the book and one who could tell their story. Thank You, Mr. Green, for forcing us to read this marvelous book and thank you to Markus Zusak for creating it.
