Word Nerd 1.3

Source: I found the word tilapia on page 98 of the book Mysteries of COVE, Fires of Invention, by J. Scott Savage.

Context: Here is the sentence I found it in, “He turned away. I left my gloves at the tilapia tanks.” In the book a young teen named Trenton was making an excuse to go investigate something.

In Their Words: The dictionary’s definition for tilapia is a common name for nearly a hundred species of cichlid fish, which are freshwater shallow stream fish from the tilapiine cichlid tribe.

In My Words: To me, tilapia are fish that are native to a certain area with freshwater streams.
