I’m a big kid now

I have grown significantly I’m proud of what I have done this year and cant wait to be in high school. I have herd that it is way better then Junior High. I feel like I could of done better in some classes. But over all I feel OK somethings I could of gone without this year like injuries and other things like that but fortunately i’m doing better and am grateful for that. Everyone has struggles but in my case I am still trying to get over some of them but I have the best support of friends and family that care for me and want the best I feel good about this year and can’t wait for the next chapter in my life

Secret Secrets Are No Fun Secret Secrets Hurt Someone

People keep secrets to hide what they truly feel or what they are truly feeling. Secrets are harmful because you could be in a bad place but its a secret and that feeling can grow and grow and turn into things that you don’t like. In my personal opinion secrets are OK to a certain extent and that if that secret determines life or death to and individual then you should definitely tell someone because that is bad. It is not healthy to keep deep dark secrets sometimes just talking to someone will help more then you think. Talking is very important and it can help you in the future

Self Assessment

This helpful things of self assessing your own work is that you can look and see what you need to do better. And or what it would look like of you had better work. This skill can help you in the real world with problems in your life and or difficulties. It could help you solve things that you didn’t know could. It gives you a different perspective on how you view problems and how you should solve them. For example you could assess the situation and see what could be improved or what is different or out of the ordinary.

Authority on Courage and Integrity

When I am faced with a hard decision or something is hard for me I think of Jackie Robinson. Hi my name is Jackie Robinson and I was the first black person to make it to the MLB. Most people thought a black person could never play in the league and they wouldn’t be good enough. When I think of that I think i’m going to prove you wrong. I am good enough to play with white’s and I will show everyone that I am good. That is my fuel when people say I can’t do something I prove them wrong and do it better then them

-Sincerely Jackie Robinson

Blind Spot

They way Atticus said  “Mr. Cunningham’s basically a good man,’ he said, ‘he just has his blind spots along with the rest of us.” This is saying everyone turns a cheek when it comes to bad tings and how to handle them. Yes he wanted to kill tom but he is saying that its a racist thing for killing tom. Its like the quote about the we’ve been licked for years. Its like other people in past generations did it why can’t we do it now. What is stopping us now in this present moment. that is the blind spot atticus was talking about.

Real Courage

Courage is sticking to something even if it gets rough. Like the quote “I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do.” This says that keep trying even if you think its going to fail have the courage to get though it and finish what you had started not just to give up and roll over when things get bad.

Persistence

I think what Atticus Is doing is good even though he is putting his family in danger. He knows he is going to lose but he is proving a point. That point is that everyone is worth fighting for white or black. He is setting an example to his kids showing them not to back down when things get rough but to fight through and play by the rules. The quote  “Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win.” Is saying we aren’t going to win because this racism is been here before me and you but we will still fight for whats right and give everyone an equal opportunity

Climbing In Someone else’s shoes

What the saying “Climb in someone else’s shoes.” Is saying like you do not know what they are going through. Its like giving you a reality check that no one is the same and people go through things every day that you might not have to worry about. I strongly agree with this because you don’t know what people are going through so don’t be so quick to judge. That person could be going though a hard time hence the term “Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.” This is a very powerful saying many people don’t understand and they need too.

Beliefs and Actions

I was asked how do beliefs shape our actions. It is like growing up with knowing that dogs are dangerous and that they can and will hurt you. When you’re older you have the sense or ability that dogs are bad. Therefore you are now afraid of them and so when you see them you tend to run away and or act timid. The belief of dogs being scary caused your action of being timid and or scared. It is simply your understanding in that situation that will cause you actions in the future and or present. It is a continuous process

The End Is Half way upon us

It is now the end of second term. The first 2 terms wen’t by in a blink of an eye I feel like it was very fast. But what I thought about 1st and 2nd term was I feel like I did a good job overall. I felt like I could of done better in some classes but in this class i happy with the grade I got It was not the same as last term but it is still a passing grade and I personally feel good about it. My goals that I set for classes weren’t all achieved but most were and I am happy with my self.
