I’m a big kid now

I’ve grown a lot this year especially being able to understand and follow learning targets of each of my classes and being able to understand and do the work because of that I am most proud of the grade I got in English because it is usually my worst class and I have a hard time with it, but this year I felt like I did a lot better.  I plan to keep working on doing my homework, because I tend to fall behind easily and I want to fix that so I’m not as stressed out.  I have become a little bit less shy then I was at the beginning of the year and I understand math a lot better.

Secrets Secrets are no fun; secrets secrets hurt someone

I think that people keep secrets to try and protect themselves or someone else, because they think that it’s the only way.  Because sometimes it’s hard to talk to people, especially about problems that we could be embarrassed about.  When you talk to someone about your problems, they can try to help you or find you help so that you can fix your problem instead of making it worse.  I think that sometimes kids our age will lie about something and keep it secret because they feel like their problem makes them a bad person and they don’t want other people knowing about it.

Love Moderately

I think that he’s trying to tell them not to be to extreme in their relationship.  I think this is good advice for almost everything because being to extreme in anyway could end up being bad.  I think that they should take this advice because it’s really good advice, but I don’t think they will because they’re being illegally married and they are still teenagers.  i don’t think they are moderate people because, Romeo was super sad about one girl and then way to excited about the next one.  I think they should tell their parents or someone else so something bad doesn’t happen.

Hatred

I think that people can hate other people so much because they were taught to hate certain people or they have a reason that is probably pretty dumb and they let that reason decide if they hate a person.  I don’t really hate anyone, but a lot of people annoy me and I don’t like them as much, and it’s probably just an irrational reason but some people make me mad when they don’t stop doing something if I asked them to stop and they are annoying on purpose.  I think that you have to put the hatred behind you because it can blind you from seeing the good things in the person that you don’t like and it can affect how you treat other people and what you think of them.

Shakespeare?

I think that we should not teach Shakespeare, because it can be hard for some kids to understand his writings and the way he says things, which makes it harder for them to learn and they could possibly become a distraction to those who are trying to learn.  His plays are also hundreds of years old and some students could think that they are a complete waste of time because nothing in them relates to modern life and they’re hard to understand.  Learning about Shakespeare can be a bit more like a history lesson than a topic for English class

Everything I know or think I know about Shakespeare

I know that Shakespeare was a writer who wrote plays and books, and was very popular in his time.  I have not read or seen any of his plays but I’ve heard a lot about them.  I think that Shakespeare will be good but it just won’t be my favorite thing to read, but I could be completely wrong because I haven’t read or seen them.  I’m hoping that I’ll learn more about Shakespeare, because he and his plays are a good thing to learn about and know about so you know what he did and what his plays are.

Self assessment

Being able to assess our own work helps with being able to realize what is wrong with our work and being able to fix it.  It can help in school if you did something wrong on an assignment you can realize and fix it.  It can help outside of school when you’re building something or putting something together, if you put something in the wrong place you can realize and fix your mistake.  In your future profession it can help with reports or papers you might have to do, it can help you figure out if you had bad grammar or spelling.

How I will dominate term 4

During this year I am proud of how well I’ve been doing in English because I am not very good at it.  I think that I have done fairly well at home work, there is still some improving to be done but I think I did pretty good.  I could work on getting math homework in on time so I get a better score.  I want to be better at communicating with teachers when I fail behind because I haven’t been good with that this year.  Before I move to the high school I want to be better at communicating with other people because I am not good at it.

How I feel about To Kill a Mockingbird

I feel pretty good, I wish that I had done better at reading but other than that I felt like I did pretty good.  I liked the book, I probably wouldn’t have read it if we hadn’t read it in class because it’s not really the type of book I like, but overall it was a good book.  I liked the beginning of the book when it’s more focused on Boo Radley and trying to see him.  I didn’t like the trial part as much, to me it was a little long and boring, and it was also sad because of what happened to Tom.  I would say to another student to read because it’s a good book and it’s worth reading, but it just wasn’t my type of book.

Good Stuff from To Kill a Mockingbird

I chose, “We’re making a step.” It’s just a baby-step, but it’s a step” I think that this means that, they are moving forward slowly but still moving forward.  I think that even though they are moving slowly taking small steps, they’re still moving forward, still taking a step an even though it’s small, it’s better than not taking a step at all.  I think that this important because it pretty much says that even though something is small and may not do much, it is better than nothing.  I also think that it can also mean that, things may start out small, but eventually it’ll get bigger.
