For term 4 I plain to stay more organized, meaning that I want to keep my binder cleaner and my homework where it will be easy to remember and not get lost. I want to be able to turn in homework done and on time. I would like to take time out of my day to study for tests.
I thought that To Kill a Mockingbird was a really good book. I enjoyed reading at home and would sometimes spend my nights reading it. I feel like everyone should read this book, and if not now sometime soon. It can help people understand that judging people by what others have told you about them, because when someone tells you something about someone you don’t know then you end up meeting them and their different than what they said it makes it hard for you to be friends with them because you are afraid that they will turn out the way that your friend told you.
I believe what Jem means when he says, “If there’s just one kind of folks, why can’t they get along with each other? If they’re all alike, why do they go out of their way to despise each other?” is if people are the same then why do they spend their life hating each other because of how they act? I wonder the same thing, I know we are all different but why do we spend so much time hating other people, I feel like we should look at the good side of people I know its hard to do at times but it is still passable to do. If we look at the good in people we wont be judged as much as we are now.
A really good friend of mine actually helped me with a really tough time this year. I was really stressed with homework, school and things going on at home. She came over just to hangout but ended up holding me as I broke down in tears, I told her everything that was going on and helped me come up with away to help me get stuff done for school and still be able to do my chores and handle things at home. When she was trying to get me to stop crying she said something that helped me a lot, because of the words she used I am not going to repeat it but it helped me a lot.
I agree with Jem on this note, you can’t just plain to kill someone go to do it and not do it after someone stops you and still be a good person. I just don’t think it is right to do that, its like bulling you shouldn’t do it because you can really hurt people really bad. It’s like when someone kills themselves because of bulling, would that be suicide or murdered?
What I feel like Atticus meant by telling Scout to climb into another person’s skin, was that you can’t judge them because you don’t know what its like to be them. When you just jump to conclusions about how other people live their life, you can get in fights and get hurt. I feel like this can help us get to know people better as who they are and not who we think they are. I personally think I try my best to walk in other persons shoes before I jump in to conclusions or judge them. So before you judge just try to walk in their skin.
What I think about the idea of the belief window is that it makes a lot of sense that we all have belief windows. Belief windows make us be the way we are it is what we believe it might not be what others believe but its what we believe and that’s all that matters. It’s important to know what we believe because that way we know why we are the way we are.
I’ve been reading the book Can’t Look Away by Donna Cooner. It has 264 pages and is about a teenage girl, Torrey Gray. In the book she is a famous beauty blogger on YouTube and she moves from her home town after her little sisters death. Torrey feels like its her fault for her death and so do all of her fans are bashing her around online. So it doesn’t help when she goes to her new school an doesn’t know who to trust. I love this book because of how it is written, it is really good and recommend to everyone who wants to read it.
I believe that I well, I did what I was asked to do and I tried my best at getting it in on time, although I did pretty bad at that but I still tried. I would like to get better grades like last term I mostly got B’s This term I would like to get A’s. I would like to try better at turn my stuff in on time. The last thing would be not to be afraid talking to my teachers, I didn’t really go to my teaches and talk to them about missing assignments, so if I’m missing anything I want to be able to talk to them.
The best book that I have ever read was Six months to Live. It was about a teenage girl that had cancer she was a cheer leader and when she found out she broke down crying. When it got worse she started to live in the hospital her friends would bring her homework and gifts. When in the hospital she became friends with the girl that was in the same room after the first year they went to a camp together for teens with cancer. It was a really good book and I would recommend it to several people.
