2nd poem representing me

I know I’m smiling,

but it’s not actually real.

They don’t make me happy,

only you can heal.

I looked in your eyes and found myself.

I looked in your eyes and found my future.

I looked in your eyes and felt accepted,

I looked in your eyes and felt loved,

I looked in your eyes and felt I was at home.

You made me feel I was the best thing that you own.

I miss you, goodnight,

then we both closed our eyes.

As I went to sleep,

you filled my dreams,

with memories,

I wish that could of lasted centuries.

The very next day you broke my heart.

And on my chest you threw,

your soon to be, blood stained dart.

I was never the same,

for I had lost my world.

My head was constantly filled with voices from the past,

I had gone insane.

Thoughts filled my brain.

I guess I’m not as imortant as I thought I was.

But then she came along,

and proved him wrong.

“You don’t need him” she said,

“It’s all in your head.

You prove them wrong,

just roll it off your shoulder,

you got this babe, your strong.”

And on she went,

saving me,

saving me from the numb mess that I used to be.

And although I will never forget,

It was a lesson learned for best, I guess.
