What I read: I read the book Among the hidden, by Margaret Peterson Haddix, the genre is realistic fiction, it is 186 pages. I rate this book a four out of five.
How it starts: The main chracter is Luke a twelve year old third child, and third children are illegal in this world. He just wants to be able to go outside and play and do things that the two oldest in his family can do, he wants to go into the city for the first time like his older brothers. The setting for most of the beggining of the book is in his house because he is not allowed to leave.
How it gets complicated: It gets complicated because as he is sitting in his room looking out a vent he sees another third child in a house next to him. This makes it complicated because he has to meet her, so he sneeks out and meets her.
What I liked: There are may things that I liked about the story I liked it mostly because the author describes so well and makes it feel a lot better. As the book continues you feel closer to the character.
What I disliked: I didn’t dislike too much, the only thing I didn’t like was it was too short.
