A major character is defined as a character that is central to the development and resolution of the story’s conflict. Most of the action of the story happens around the major character or characters, and their activity advances the plot and helps determine the outcome of the text. The major character is not always the protagonist, as almost all novels have only one protagonist and several other major characters. The protagonist is the central character that is faced with the conflict that must be resolved. The main characters in my book is Cinder, and the Prince. They each play a big part in the book. The sidekicks are IKO the step-mother and step-sisters!
Cinder is the main/ major character in the book. She is a dynamic character a literary or dramatic character who undergoes an important inner change, as a change in personality or attitude. Cinder is trying to change her life. She is trying to get away from her step-mother and pearl she wants to be free and not be a cyborg who gives up her life!
The minor characters in the book, are Dr. Erland, and peony. A supporting character/minor character is a character in a narrative that is not focused on by the primary storyline, but appears or is mentioned in the story enough to be more than just a minor character or a cameo appearance. Sometimes, supporting characters may develop a complex back-story of their own, but this is usually in relation to the main character, rather than entirely independently.
The antagonist,Characters may be antagonists without being evil – they may simply be injudicious and unlikeable for the audience. In some stories, almost every character other than the protagonist may be an antagonist. . Her step-mother is and antagonist. She volunteers Cinder to be tested with the plague! She is very rude to Cinder and blames her for everything. She does not have a nemesis yet in the book but I’m not very far into the book.
