The Power Of Words

This has do to with Leisel because she is going to end up being a big part of Germany, because she is super against Hitler, because he took her parents away, and her friend, just so that they can be killed. Of course, Leisel is against this because she loves her parents and she loves Max. This has to do with with stealing books because I think that reading is a way for her to calm down, and relieve stress. Words are supa powerful, there’s a saying and it’s “Sticks and Stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” But that saying is false.

Context-“At the last instant, Ellis jerked is hand back. “‘Sorry,”‘ he  said as the disk fell to the floor and lost its glow. “‘I got nervous. Ellis the apprehensive.”‘

How this makes me feel- All throughout this book, the character, Ellis, is constantly describing himself with these words. As used in this sentence, he used apprehensive to describe his nervousness. Now, let me tell you, this kid is a total weirdo, and he only has one friend. I understand why he would be nervous to flip and alien space coin, and watch it melt into your hand as you become an all time legend. And I need about fourty more words and i’m not there yet ot now or now or now or now or now or now or now or now or now and I am there in six more words one two.

Context- “Beneath it, the alien face on his sweatshirt, caught in flickering lamplight, seemed to smirk at his pursuers.”

In their words- a person or thing that pursues another.

In my words- People chasing him.

You’ve got a friend in Rudy

I think that Rudy does these things to try to get girls to like him, because he said that he just wants a kiss. And we all know that Rudy is going to go die in a hole sad and alone without a kiss in his life, too bad Liesel is too selfish to love Rudy, she’s probably going to die alone in a hole too without love. I really don’t like Rudy or Liesel. I think that they are both very bad role models and that they should go to jail in America. There life would be better in jail in America then without jail in Germany. I think that they will eventually start dating and then make out in a street corner somewhere and then Rudy will die and Liesel is too good for him so she’ll laugh when he dies and go find another guy. This lemon haired weirdo is not going to live much longer.

Quote- “The other bed was empty. No reason it wouldn’t be. Adam had been gone for nearly three months, leaving nothing behind but a torn NASCAR poster and a thousand bad memories. He’d slunk off to an army base in Oklahoma, thanks to a judge who’d given him a choice between serving time or serving his country.”

Context- It is the very beginning of the book, so there’s not much going on, we do know that Ryan and Taylor McKenzie, the twins, are opposites. Ryan is the dumb twin who is super naughty at school, and brings letters home every day, for being bad. Taylor, is the good twin, and she has all A+’s and she is a super nice kind person who works super hard. Anyway, the night before that present moment, Ryan sees a giant glowing thing crash into the woods, so the next day before school, he goes and looks for what it was. He finds a bunch of disks and touches one, and his brain gets transferred into another world basically. When the disk wears off, he is back in reality.

This makes me think- I think that Billy, the kid in the room having these thoughts, is happy that his brother is gone, like maybe he got beaten by him, or he was just a super jerk. It made me think, like what kind of home are these kids being raised in? I don’t necessarily like this passage, but it does make me use my brains.

A little Light in the Darkness

I find my happiness in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and just movies and T.V. in general. I love to build things, like just like last week I built a bike ramp. It took me 3 or 4 hours, but I did it. I freaking like, adore, LOVE, whatever you want to call it, MOUNTAIN BIKING. I ride about 1.5 miles from my house, up to the Valley Vista trails, and it is just the best thing ever. If anyone in here mountain bikes, I’m on the Jr. Devo team and my favorite trail is a combo of Cowley’s Curse and Tufas, then back onto Cowley’s. I love to play Fortnite and Spider Man on my PS4.
