Quote: “Whoever was tortured, stays tortured. Torture is ineradicably burned into him, even when no clinically objective traces can be detected.”

Context: Meaning, when someone gets tortured it stays with them through their whole lives even if they are not getting tortured right then and there.

This makes me think: That it is so sad that Jews had to go through that torture when they did not do anything wrong. And now it is ingrained in their heads.
