South Korea’s population is about 48.6 million people and most of the population live in urban areas, but their capital is in seoul. The second most populated city is busan; with a population on 3.5 million people. Their major langue they speak is korean all over south korea. Relative poverty was also in decline until the late 1990s, but has risen since then. Arable land only accounts for 22 percent of the country’s land. The most important crop in South Korea is rice (almost like everywhere else), accounting about 90 percent of the country’s total grain. South koreas deaths are caused by infectious disease have decreased after introduction of various public health measures. Korea is a country where all the world’s major religions, Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam, peacefully coexist with shamanism. In 1945, after the second world war japanese occupation ends with Soviet troops occupying area north of the 38th parallel, and US troops in the south. I’ve learned that not all of their population is in poverty is was expecting more, and I would think that most of the population is buddhist.
