While we had a substitute on Wednesday it wasn’t really that different than other days in class all except the substitute staying silent for the most part. When it comes to some assignments I work a lot better when I work with someone because they help me focus on the task at hand and not drift off.
What I know about William Shakespeare is that he wrote wrote Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A midsummer night’s dream, A pound of flesh, and Attis Hidrodicus. He was well-known as one of the greatest play writers in history. He originated the saying “Parting is such sweet sorrow.”
Self Assessment is used more often than we think. The term self assessment means thinking things through after doing it. We use self assessment a lot of basic things, like when we go to the grocery store we think about what we will eat later and if we will eat it, what cloths we will wear and when we will wear them, and so on.
To Kill a Mockingbird was a good piece of literature in my perspective, and it was somewhat educational because it tells us how things worked and were back then. The realistic fiction worked it’s magic real good in the book. Harper Lee must be a pretty good author if this is only a spitball of her writing, story telling and imagination.
“It’s not time to worry yet.” Atticuss seems like the chill about mostly everything kind of person seeing as how in To Kill A Mockingbird he acts like he has everything under control when the neighbor’s house was on fire and he seemed calm when he was protecting Tom Robinson at the jail to keep him from being linched. Atticuss’ phrase makes me think about how each and every one of us can handle situations that seem so dire and grim, so I’m thinking “Try to be like Atticuss.” He always knows how to handle bad situations and think things through.
Beast learned to let Belle go when her father needed her most, even though for many long years needed and thirsted for someone to love him. He knew very well that if he let Belle go she might never come back and that he would remain a beast for all time and eternity, but he cared and loved her so much that he was willing to let her go when she needed to for her happiness. That night he made a choice to be kind and loving from then on and let Belle know that she was always welcome if she ever came back.
“Climb into someone else’ skin and walk around in it.” The phrase means that people should seeing the world through someone else’ eyes and perspective before judging them. In To Kill a Mocking Bird, scout was told that she should she should look at things and people differently by taking on another’s perspective and belief
I believe in good deeds and how they help people. I do good things for people any chance that comes my way and when I do help them it makes them feel good and it makes me feel good
In a way Language Arts seemed beneficial to my knowledge, but I mainly liked it because we get to read at the beginning of class. Yes, I did learn how some sentences worked and how to make sentences make sense and readable, it also let me try out some of my own story ideas as class work, it let me spew out a few ideas and have them rewarded as class work. The reading at the beginning of class gives me a lot of time to find out what’s happening to the characters and a bit of time to brace myself for what might yet come. That is what I like about Language Arts.
I thought the beginning of Through the Glass was pretty interesting. An inventor creates a machine he calls the DOROM which will allow him to pass through mirrors , but the only thing in his way right now is finding something to fuel up his device with three thousand volts of electricity. This story gives a lot of reason, fact, and description in just two pages. I bet if the author was given more time he could have made a good other part to the story were all the action could be found. Why don’t you take a look at it for yourself and see what you think of it.
