Bhutan concretes path towards an organic agriculture.
Bhutan has had agriculture be a huge part of communities for a long time. for a while it had gone unnoticed by the government and there wasn’t as many benefits as there could have of been. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forests (MoAF), Bhutan and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) has stepped in and changed that. they will be using their sources and resources and start
“focusing on how the HKH countries can develop appropriate institutional mechanisms and innovative project and programme management structures, improve local capacities for responding to the needs of organic producers, and create interest among all stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of organic agriculture.” (quote taken from the article linked above in the subtitle)
in doing so they have set an example for the world. they have taken this opportunity to help their environment and their people.
