Context: Isabel is in trouble, She’s really scared of what her master is going to do to her.
This Makes Me Think: It’s sad that slave owners thought that it was okay to do whatever they want to their slaves. Even if it’s a small mistake, slave owners can do whatever they want to their slaves. They can do something small like slapping, to something big like hanging. And the slaves could do nothing about it.
